Case Prioritisation explained in 7 minutes

How do competition authorities decide which cases to pursue when resources are limited? In this video, Maria Pilar Canedo Arrillaga (Academic Director of the OECD-GVH Regional Centre for Competition), interviews the experts Or Brook (Associate Professor of Competition Law at the University of Oxford) and William Kovacic (Professor of Competition Law and Policy at George Washington University and Director of the Competition Law Center) on how authorities balance resources, flexibility and accountability to maximise their impact. This video builds on the discussions from the Competition Lab for Judges on Abuse of Dominance, organised by the OECD-GVH Regional Centre for Competition in Budapest in May 2026, with financial support from the European Commission.
