DESCRIPTION:The seminar will provide national judges with some experience
  in competition law and competition cases with an opportunity to catch u
 p on recent cases involving EU competition law and will discuss how thes
 e cases can impact cases litigated before national courts. In the last f
 ew years there have been several important competition law judgments by 
 the European Courts in both Articles 101 and 102 cases\, including cases
  on the analytical framework in Article 101 cases\, information exchange
 s\, abuse of dominance\, and standard setting in an IP context. There ha
 ve also been important developments in the area of the private enforceme
 nt of competition law\, which will have a tremendous impact on how such 
 cases will be litigated before courts.
