Globalisation and digital economy, as well as the increasing significance of emerging economies and the proliferation of competition regimes have increased the complexity of cross-border competition law enforcement cooperation. Several initiatives by international organizations (e.g. OECD Recommendation on International Co-operation on Competition Investigations and Proceedings, ICN-led Framework to Promote Fair and Effective Agency Process and UNCTAD Guiding Policies and Procedures under Section F of the UN Set on Competition) aim at exploring opportunities to reduce costs, avoid inconsistencies and ensure procedural fairness in parallel proceedings. This seminar will explore best practices for formal and informal enforcement cooperation.
